Hi I am Paul, project manager of Alpha Rain.  And I am Brandy, owner of Alpha Rain Metal Roofing Company. We wanted to take a minute and introduce our company.  We are the best metal roofing contractors northern Virginia. The only work that we do is metal roofing, that is our specialty.  To the best of our knowledge, we are the only roofing company in Virginia that only specializes in metal roofs. Also, 99% of our customers are actually living at their house while we are installing their metal roofs. We have to have high attention to detail and provide a highly clean job site.  We have to, most customers have children or pets and we are very concerned about nails and debris.  We use a magnetic roller and rake over the area that we worked once we complete a job to make sure all the nails and other material are cleaned up. We are a family owned business, during off business hours I actually refer to Brandy as “Dad”, while on the job site he is my boss.

We have been in business for over 27 years and have been specializing in metal roofs exclusively for 14 years.  I have been working for alpha rain since I have 5.  The company has been in business for 27 years which means that out of those 27 years I have worked for the company for 25 of the years and that makes me feel pretty old. To vent the roof below the Widow’s Walk we installed a vented J channel. As you can see from the photo there is a plastic mesh between the roof deck and the j channel to allow for the hot air in the attic to escape. We then slide the standing seam roofing panels into the j channel and we trim out the connection between the j channel and the Widow’s Walk with a counter flashing.
